Guillon-Painturaud is an independent family producer in Segonzac, in the heart of Grande Champagne, where the house grows its own grapes, distils its own spirit and ages its Cognac on the estate. That estate-led model gives it a clear identity within the region: these are Cognacs rooted in one property and one cru, shaped by long ageing and a strong sense of continuity rather than by large-scale blending.

The family’s links to the area go back centuries, although the house’s own modern identity is more recent, with bottling under the Guillon-Painturaud name developing in the later twentieth century after earlier generations had supplied merchants and blenders. The estate remains closely tied to traditional methods and is known for producing both Cognac and Pineau des Charentes from its own vineyards.

The domaine is now led by two sisters, Élise and Mathilde, who continue the family’s work with a focus on mature Grande Champagne Cognacs and sustainable viticulture.
