Denis-Mounié Cognac
Available for £1,500
Denis-Mounié is a historic Cognac name rather than a current active house, remembered chiefly through bottles released in the mid to late twentieth century. Founded in 1838, it built a reputation for traditional regional Cognac before disappearing from regular production, and the marque is now encountered mainly through older bottlings in collections and specialist sales.
That gives Denis-Mounié a very different place in the market from a living producer with a contemporary range. Interest centres less on brand positioning than on provenance, condition and period style, with surviving examples appealing to collectors and drinkers curious about older Cognac. Auction houses and specialist secondary-market platforms still list Denis-Mounié bottles, particularly vintage and Grande Champagne releases.
